Chalybes inoxidabiles mixti ex 304 (S30400) et 304L (S30403) variationes sunt mixturae austeniticae quae continet 18% chromii et 8% niccoli, quae est mixtura notissima et frequentissime adhibita in familia chalybis inoxidabilis. Chalybs inoxidabilis 304/L proprietates fabricationis excellentes habet. Malleabilitas eius permittit ut facile formetur ad extendendum, flectendum et convolvendum. Bona machinabilitas et humilis contentus sulphuris promovent excellentem soudabilitatem in applicationibus quae id requirunt.
Magna vis, optima resistentia corrosionis, et copia carbonis imminuta, chalybes inoxidabiles mixturae 304 et 304L utiles reddunt ad usus ubi soldadura requiritur. Usus includunt ornamenta et ornamenta architecturalia, partes soldadurae instrumentorum chemicorum, textilium, chartaceorum, pharmaceuticorum, et industriarum chemicarum.
Alia commoda sunt resistentia oxidationi, formabilitas excellens, facilitas fabricationis et purgationis, proportio roboris ad pondus optima, et tenacitas bona ad temperaturas cryogenicas.
